Stargazing

for weeks , months , years on end

i’ve been searching endlessly for my forever friend

bitten by wild boars and rabid dogs alike

hitchhike after hitchhike

realizing the prized dove

was always up above

my Guide told me when the world has seemingly died

raise your head on up to the sky

i looked out of my tent in search of Mars

and i saw my own name written in the stars
